Armwood won the last time they faced Durant and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Armwood Hawks were the clear victor by a 61-38 margin over the Durant Cougars. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season.

Armwood was led to victory by Mya Ankers and Jaliyah Bandy. Ankers posted 11 points and six steals, while Bandy earned nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those six steals gave Ankers a new career-high. Amaya Richardson was another key player, putting up ten points and six steals.

Durant's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layla White, who made all 5 shots she took for 11 points and six boards. Emily Blair also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Armwood's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Durant, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
