The Memorial Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by Liberty on the road and fell 48-4. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Memorial has scored all season.
MiLeesa Williams was Memorial's leading scorer, having posted two points.
Rayona Floyd-brown held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Memorial dropped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.6 points per game. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 4-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memorial will take on Jackson-Milton at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Memorial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Monday. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against East at 5:30 p.m.
