Carver suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Dougherty by a score of 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Montgomery is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Caslin, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Columbus pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Monroe 60-56. While losing is never fun, Columbus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Monroe is ranked 15th).
Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 16-2. As for Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Carver beat Columbus 63-51 in their previous matchup on January 4th. Does Carver have another victory up their sleeve, or will Columbus turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
