Basketball Recap: Adair County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Adair County entered their tilt with Central Hardin on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured an 80-74 W against the Central Hardin Bruins. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Bruins are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adair County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Connor Loy led the charge by going 7-for-12 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Cochran, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.

Adair County's victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Central Hardin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-9.

Coming up, Adair County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Caverna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Adair County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 contests -- so hopefully Caverna likes a good challenge. As for Central Hardin, they will challenge Washington County at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
