Even though the Brookfield Central Lancers scored an imposing 71 points on Saturday, the Indian Trail Hawks still came out on top. Indian Trail took their contest against Brookfield Central 79-71. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Indian Trail.
Despite the loss, Brookfield Central still got an impressive performance from Dylan Romero, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Olivia Witon, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
Indian Trail's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Brookfield Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Trail will take on Shoreland Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Shoreland Lutheran's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Brookfield Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Wauwatosa East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
