After a string of five wins, the San Fernando Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 59-49 to Canoga Park. San Fernando was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Canoga Park apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
San Fernando lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Cabrera, who scored 17 points. Cabrera continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Bynum , who scored 12 points.
San Fernando's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Canoga Park, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
San Fernando will head out on the road to face off against Kennedy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy is on a three-game streak of home losses, San Fernando a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Canoga Park will take on Sylmar at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sylmar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
