Zumbrota-Mazeppa hadn't done well against Farmington recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

Zumbrota-Mazeppa moved to 9-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Coincidentally, Zumbrota-Mazeppa and Farmington will both be playing Anoka the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Tornadoes at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
