The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rondout Valley, who took down 378th ranked Dover, 42-16.
Marlboro Central's RYAN CARY rumbled for the longest rushing play in Section 9 B this season in his game against New Paltz last week. CARY ran for 67 yards on the play and finished with 162 on the day as his team bested the Huguenots.
CARY was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate MARSALIS FAIRCLOTH added to the ground attack by rushing for 113 yards.
CARY provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Marlboro Central topped New Paltz. CARY's favorite target this week was ONORINO TAMBURRI, who caught 2 passes for 72 yards.
Camron Abalos put up the best numbers in passing as Spackenkill fell to Red Hook. He finished with 10 completions for 134 yards. Abalos' favorite target this week was Billy Winnis, who caught 2 passes for 66 yards.
TAMBURRI was the best wideout in the league this week as Rich Ward's team bested Tom Tegeler's team. MATT MARQUIS helped Marlboro Central's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 52 yards.
Marlboro Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dukes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. CARY has thrown for 345 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while MARQUIS has 8 catches for 159 yards. CARY also leads the league in rushing with 565 yards.
The Ganders are in third place, while Highland is in second place.
The Huskies moved up to 101 from 274 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Highland was able to move up by besting Liberty 48-20.
