On Friday, Elko blew past Yerington, posting a 47-15 win on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Elko.
Elko's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raquel Madigan, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Roxanne Keim, who scored 2 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals.
Elko's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Yerington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Elko's road trip will continue as they head out to face Galena at 8:00 a.m. on December 2nd. As for Yerington, they will face off against Carson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
