While Johnstown didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wolves with a sharp 13-2 win on Wednesday. The Sir Bills might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 11 runs or more this season.

Johnstown's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Johnstown will take on rival Fort Plain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville is set to square off against their familiar foe Cobleskill-Richmondville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
