After a string of three wins, the Medford Tech Jaguars's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to Cinnaminson on the road by a decisive 69-54 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Medford Tech has scored all season.
Medford Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tre Powell, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds, and Nesta Rice who scored 19 points. Powell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Medford Tech struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Medford Tech's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Cinnaminson, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medford Tech will take on Burlington City at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Burlington City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Medford Tech is ranked 78th). As for Cinnaminson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northern Burlington at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Northern Burlington has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 20.
