Valliant took a serious blow against Wright City, falling 68-35. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Valliant in their matchups with Wright City: they've now lost eight in a row.
It was another big night for Madison Carter, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists for Wright City. Carter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Ali Gibson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two blocks.
Valliant has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Wright City, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.
Valliant will be playing at home against Broken Bow at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Broken Bow will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Valliant surely won't give up without a fight. Wright City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
