Basketball Recap: Battery Creek Extends Winning Streak to Four

Battery Creek extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Ethan Cox. The Battery Creek Dolphins put the hurt on the Whale Branch Warriors with a sharp 69-47 win on Friday thanks in part to Cox, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrese Smith, who posted seven points and six steals. Smith is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Battery Creek's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Whale Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Battery Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 80-56 win against Beaufort on the 14th. As for Whale Branch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-43 defeat against Bluffton on the 14th.
