The Milaca Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. Their tough 74-53 loss to Kimball might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Milaca has suffered against Kimball since February 17, 2015.
Milaca's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samson Trigg, who scored six points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Brock Talberg, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Even though they lost, Milaca smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Milaca's loss was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Kimball, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milaca will challenge Albany at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Albany knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Milaca likes a good challenge. Kimball won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Holdingford at 5:45 p.m. on January 23rd. Holdingford is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
