The Foothill Tech Dragons will take on the University Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Foothill Tech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Foothill Tech barely beat Grace the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons never let the Lancers get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Thursday. The Dragons have beaten the Lancers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lancers has come to flipping the script.

Shane White made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Davin Arth was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Robert Juker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Foothill Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, University fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Northwood on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 4-3. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.
Andrew Shean spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, University saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Haun, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Sean Maher was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
University's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Foothill Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
Foothill Tech's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's matchup. The Dragons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for University, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Foothill Tech continue to outrun the ball?
