The West Babylon Eagles's four-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Thursday. Everything went their way against Newfield as West Babylon made off with a 71-51 victory.
West Babylon was led to victory by Jade Dockery and Jaelynn Burgess. Dockery scored 28 points, while Burgess scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Dockery is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Sarah Caltabiano was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
West Babylon pushed their record up to 1-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Newfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
West Babylon will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on East Rockaway at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. Newfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
