After two games on the road, Burges is heading back home. They will take on the El Paso Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Burges' last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Saturday, Burges sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Chapin.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but El Paso had to settle for a 3-2 defeat against Jefferson on Saturday. El Paso has not had much luck with Jefferson recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Burges now has a winning record of 5-4-4. As for El Paso, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-4 record this season.
Burges was able to grind out a solid victory over El Paso when the teams last played back in March of 2023, winning 2-0. Will Burges repeat their success, or does El Paso have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
