Softball Recap: Cajon's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Cajon won the last time they faced Redlands and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cowboys were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Terriers. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Maggie Rodriguez looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Cajon got a massive performance out of Rylee Torres, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Torres has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ci'Ella Pickett, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Cajon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Redlands only posted an OBP of .280.

Cajon's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-8. As for Redlands, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Cajon has already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Citrus Valley on the 17th. As for Redlands, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-2 defeat against Yucaipa on the 17th.
