Forest City is 0-3 against the Spartans since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Forest City Foresters will head out on the road to take on the Mid Valley Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Forest City is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Monday, Forest City didn't have too much trouble with the Lions at home as they won 60-41. Forest City pushed the score to 51-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Mid Valley suffered a tough 77-52 loss at the hands of the Crusaders on Thursday. Mid Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-18.
Mid Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Richard Vinansky, who scored 22 points, and Jakob Lesher who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lesher has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaleik Cook, who scored seven points.
Forest City's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Mid Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
Forest City took a serious blow against the Spartans in their previous matchup back in January, falling 65-15. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Vinansky, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds.
