The Knox Falcons had already won two in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 63-20 win over Kew Forest. That's another feather in the cap for Knox, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kew Forest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Paz, who scored eight points. Paz scored a full 40% of Kew Forest's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Agustin Perez was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Knox's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kew Forest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Luther the next time they take the court. Knox will host Luther at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, while Kew Forest will host them at 4:00 a.m. on January 11, 2024.
