Corner Canyon's loss came despite strong showings from Isaac Neibaur and Bryton Valdes. Neibaur scored 26 points along with 6 rebounds, while Valdes scored 19 points along with 6 assists. Valdes scored a full 27.9% of Corner Canyon's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Taylor Feroah was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 10 rebounds.
Corner Canyon bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Alta, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Corner Canyon will square off against Duncanville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Duncanville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Corner Canyon likes a good challenge. As for Alta, they will head out on the road to face off against West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
