Okawville has gone a perfect 4-0 against Gibault Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Rockets will host the Hawks at 10:00 a.m. Okawville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Okawville is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Red Bud.

Jaycie Buss made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Sophia Going was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Gibault Catholic was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Marissa/Coulterville, falling 12-1.

Gibault Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Lanham, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Gibault Catholic has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Okawville, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Okawville's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's matchup. The Rockets have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Gibault Catholic, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Okawville continue to outrun the ball?

Okawville took their victory against Gibault Catholic when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
