You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Meigs's strategy against River Valley on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Meigs Marauders blew the River Valley Raiders out of the water with a 92-50 final score. The Marauders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

River Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Braden Bennett, who went 6 of 13 to rack up 17 points and eight boards, and Landon Burns, who went 7 for 10 en route to 15 points and five rebounds. What's more, Burns also posted a 70% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2023.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Meigs, bringing their record for this year to 18-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.4 points. As for River Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Meigs won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Westfall at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Meigs' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for River Valley, they will head out to square off against Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
