The Temecula Valley Golden Bears fell victim to the King Wolves''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 30-0 loss at the hands of the Wolves. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Temecula Valley couldn't push the score so high this time.
King was led to victory by Blake Bowen and Joshua Harper. Bowen picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Harper threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes. Another player making a difference was Sam Green, who picked up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Temecula Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for King, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temecula Valley will take on Great Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Great Oak presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Temecula Valley in California (Great Oak is ranked 121st, while Temecula Valley is ranked 319th). As for King, they will head out on the road to face off against Murrieta Mesa at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
