Wyomissing has gone 9-1 against Schuylkill Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Wyomissing lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Conrad Weiser, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Spartans put the hurt on the Scouts with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday. The Spartans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ryan Graham and Parker LaFerriere did most of the damage at the plate: Graham went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while LaFerriere went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave LaFerriere a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Noey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.
Wyomissing was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Schuylkill Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over Kutztown. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three contests in a row.
Bodie James made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. James was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Austin Gilmer, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Connor Huggard, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Wyomissing has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Schuylkill Valley, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-7.
Schuylkill Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wyomissing hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. It's a different story for Schuylkill Valley, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain Wyomissing's hitters?
