Football Recap: Seminole Ridge Starts Season with Win at Home

Seminole Ridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Leonard Lancers 34-0. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won six in a row.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Fogel, who threw for 218 yards and five touchdowns. What's more, Fogel also racked up 127.6 passer rating, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

Seminole Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Olivia Agosto and Peyton Teman.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seminole Ridge will welcome Park Vista at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th. As for Leonard, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Jupiter at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday. Leonard is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
