On Friday, the KIPP College Prep Panthers's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 64-45 win over Bell. With that victory, KIPP College Prep brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
KIPP College Prep had a senior duo take command as AJ Jackson scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals and Joey Mitchell scored 17 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. Kaden Butler was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
KIPP College Prep pushed their record up to 6-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Bell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP College Prep will take on Parkside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bell, they will head out on the road to challenge Coolidge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
