The Sebring Blue Streaks's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Discovery Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Sebring will be strutting in after a win while Discovery will be coming in after a loss.
Sebring put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Auburndale 55-14 at home. With Sebring ahead 34-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Sebring got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shamari Jones out in front who scored 11 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrianna Maldonado, who scored 11 points.
Discovery suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by McKeel Academy 53-12. Discovery was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.
Sebring has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Discovery, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-9.
