Manti's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Carbon Dinos a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Templars have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Aidali Orozco, who gave up just five hits to keep Carbon off the board. Orozco has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Carlie Rasmussen was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paislee Clark, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Manti's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Carbon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
