Fairfield Central was led to victory by Jordyn Adams and Jazzlyn McMillan. Adams scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while McMillan dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Adams has scored at least a third of Fairfield Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamia Evans, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Columbia's loss was their tenth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-16. As for Fairfield Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-8.
Columbia will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Keenan at 6:00 p.m. Keenan has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Fairfield Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Hartsville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
