Marion was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Solon. The Indians came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 41 last week.
Marion extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 6 this week by beating the Spartans, 24-14. The win marks fifth in a row for the Tony Perkins' team.
Anamosa's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Connyr Lewis has thrown for 901 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Josh Schulte has 35 catches for 433 yards. Dylon Kula leads the league in rushing with 167 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Indians take on Clear Creek-Amana. Marion is in first place, while the Clippers are in fourth place.
Maquoketa took down Benton 45-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
