The Giddings Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Manor New Tech, falling 81-45. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Giddings in their matchups with Manor New Tech: they've now lost six in a row.
Manor New Tech found their leader in underclassman Isaiah Kinard, who scored 25 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Kinard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kome Harris, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Giddings' defeat dropped their record down to 8-21. As for Manor New Tech, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-13.
Giddings does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manor New Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. Taylor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Manor New Tech likes a good challenge.
