Midland scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to the Nemo Vista Red Hawks at home by a 90-74 margin. Even though they lost, the Mustangs' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 52 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

When it comes to explaining why Midland lost, don't look at Riley Pruitt. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 40.5% of Midland's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haden Pierce, who had eight points and 11 boards.

Even though they lost, Midland was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Midland's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Nemo Vista, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calico Rock at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Nemo Vista, they will be playing at home against Wonderview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
