Given Midlothian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Burleson is ranked 650th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Alex Gilmore, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jacob Almodovar, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Midlothian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Burleson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.
