The Carey Blue Devils will face off against the Colonel Crawford Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Carey comes in on 12 and Colonel Crawford on four.
Carey's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Wynford. Considering the Blue Devils have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Louis Watkins was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Tarris, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Garrett Hall was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Carey kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colonel Crawford). Everything went their way against Bucyrus on Wednesday as they made off with a 15-1 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.
Tyce Lisle looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, Brayden Holt and Grady Riggle did most of the damage at the plate: Holt went 2-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double, while Riggle went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Evan Metzger, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Carey's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Colonel Crawford, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Everything went Carey's way against Colonel Crawford in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Carey made off with a 16-0 win. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
