Everything went their way against the Caruthersville Tigers on Saturday as they made off with a 16-4 victory. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Brianna Mills was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Huckstep, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Marley Conklin was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Scott City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
