The Prairie View Academy Spartans suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-29 loss at the hands of Hillcrest Christian. It was the first time this season that Prairie View Academy let down their fans at home.
Abram Anthony and Tollan Wallace certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Anthony scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks, while Wallace scored four points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Hillcrest Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Severe McNeary out in front who scored 12 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Darius Barnes, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Prairie View Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3. As for Hillcrest Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie View Academy will take on Wilkinson County Christian Academy at 2:02 p.m. on Monday. As for Hillcrest Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Porter's Chapel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
