The Kosciusko Whippets entered their tilt with the McAdams Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kosciusko snuck past McAdams with a 36-32 victory on Friday. That's two games straight that Kosciusko has won by exactly four points.
Kosciusko's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremi Wilkes, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Mancell, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds.
Kosciusko has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for McAdams, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Kosciusko will head out on the road to face off against Leake Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Leake Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kosciusko in Mississippi (Leake Central is ranked 16th, while Kosciusko is ranked 99th). As for McAdams, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Choctaw County at 7:30 p.m. Choctaw County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three games.
