After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bennington, the Wahoo Warriors were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Aurora 55-23 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.
Gretchen Seagren was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Josie Larson was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
The victory got Wahoo back to even at 1-1. As for Aurora, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Wahoo will head out on the road to face off against Norris at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Norris focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. As for Aurora, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lakeview. Lakeview and Aurora are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
