Palmer was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Leflore County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November.
Leflore County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malia Dixon, who scored 16 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dixon has scored at least 25% of Leflore County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antionette Holston, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Palmer bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.4 points per game. As for Leflore County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Palmer will be playing in front of their home fans against Amanda Elzy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leflore County, they will head out on the road to face off against Edwards at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edwards will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
