Braden Slater Turns in Season-Best Performance
Braden Slater produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Karns City to the win on Friday. Slater rushed for 195 yards and five touchdowns on only nine carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
If history really does repeat itself, Slater might just drop another big game when he faces off against Bradford on Friday. When Slater last faced the Owls back in October of 2023, he rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion] picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jase Ferguson. Ferguson was dynamite, throwing for 281 yards and six touchdowns, while also rushing for 83 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Ferguson might have his next game, a road matchup with Punxsutawney, circled on his calendar. Ferguson threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 97 yards on only 13 carries the last time he and Punxsutawney duked it out back in September of 2023.

Logan Kohler Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Bradford got the W thanks in part to Logan Kohler playing the best football he has all season. Kohler picked up 172 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.
The victory snapped Bradford's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-5 record. Kohler and Bradford will challenge Karns City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Trey Wingard Delivers Electric Effort Vs Ridgway/Johnsonburg
Trey Wingard was instrumental in extending DuBois's winning streak to six on Friday. Ridgway/Johnsonburg had no answer to Wingard as he threw for 266 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Wingard is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
DuBois pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Wingard will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on St. Marys on Friday.
