Kirby Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chris Lively led the charge by scoring 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lively has scored at least a third of Kirby Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Alden, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Kirby Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Anzar, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kirby Prep will face off against the Pumas at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pacific Collegiate will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Anzar, they will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. York is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
