Welch has struggled against Fairland recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Welch's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colin Damann, who scored 4 points.
Welch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fairland, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Welch will head out on the road to face off against Watts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairland, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Oklahoma Union at 8:30 p.m.
