Harnett Central owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They skirted past the South View Tigers 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The team relied heavily on Ava Faucette, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025.

Harnett Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for South View, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.

Coming up, Harnett Central will take on Triton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South View, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Douglas Byrd at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
