After three games on the road, Plymouth is heading back home. They will take on the Salem Rocks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Plymouth came up short against Hartland and fell 56-43. While losing is never fun, Plymouth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Hartland is ranked 167th).
Meanwhile, Salem pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Salem in their matchups with Canton: they've now lost seven in a row.
Plymouth's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
Plymouth didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Salem in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 56-52 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Salem's Ryan Peters, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Plymouth still be able to contain Peters? There's only one way to find out.
