Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Missouri School for the Deaf, 80-28. At the time, the Eagles was ranked 16th in the state, while the Trojans was 49th.
Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf extended the longest winning streak in Great Plains (8 Man) this week by beating Missouri School for the Deaf, 80-28. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kevin Smith has thrown for 120 yards and one touchdown this season, while Sean Thomas Sledd has six catches for 112 yards. Smith also leads the league in rushing with 716 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Michael Eldred's team takes on Iowa School for the Deaf. As it stands, the Eagles are in fourth, while the Bobcats are in 10th.
