Despite playing on one of the top teams in Southern California, it seems as if Naijiel Hale
is the unheralded son of a famous rapper.
Hale, whose father, the late Nate Dogg, was a fixture on the West coast rap scene in the1990s and 2000s, is a standout defensive back for St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)
Since transferring from Lakewood, Hale has been nothing short of outstanding. He's been responsible for 42 tackles, a sack and an interception. On film, he shows great instincts and athleticism, and is a sound tackler.
At 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, he has good size for the cornerback position.
Hale shares his father's interest in music. In his spare time, he records his own songs
St. John Bosco begin open up the Pac-5 playoffs against Tesoro. As Hale's film begins to circulate this offseason, expect him to emerge as a coveted defensive back in the Class of 2014.
