The Orange Park Raiders fell victim to the Ponte Vedra Sharks''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Sharks at home and fell 35-0. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, Orange Park couldn't push the score so high this time.
Gabe Taylor threw for 98 yards on ten of 16 attempts. Ryder Fulmer was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Dylon Ruiz rushed for 54 yards.
It was another big night for Brian Case, who gained 116 total yards and three touchdowns.
Orange Park has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Ponte Vedra, the win was the seventh in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange Park will take on Middleburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ponte Vedra, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Nease at 7:00 p.m. Nease will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Ponte Vedra is ranked 34th).
