The Broughton Capitals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 68-59 win over Athens Drive. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Broughton found their leader in underclassman Jordan Page, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Page is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played. Chauncey Sumpter was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Broughton and bumps their season record up to 8-11. As for Athens Drive, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Leesville Road the next time they take the court. Broughton will head out to face the Pride at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Jaguars will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
