Twin Valley recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Twin Valley this week, Centralia/Wetmore beat Oskaloosa 56-8. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Panthers.
Centralia/Wetmore took down the Bears 56-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. J.T. Rosine threw for 35 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 33 yards in the win.
Tristan Speer provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Troy bested McLouth. He completed 7 passes for 77 yards and also ran for 93 yards. Speer's favorite target this week was Daulton Jasper, who caught 3 passes for 50 yards.
Jasper was the best wideout in the league this week as the Trojans topped the Bulldogs. Jasper tallied 3 receptions for 50 yards. Caleb Winkel helped Troy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 11 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Washington County's Konner Penning and Cole Thompson have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Penning has thrown for 1,325 yards this season, while Thompson has 38 catches for 559 yards. Onaga's Michael Bliss leads the league in rushing yards with 1,096.
Cole Maddox has rushed for 943 yards on 129 carries so far this year.
Troy made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,838 from 10,004. The improvement was the result of a 26-14 victory over McLouth last week.
